2. How do I get my home displayed on the Preservation Showcase?Only properties for sale marketed exclusively by Fonville Morisey Realty can be displayed on the Preservation Showcase. To have your home showcased or request information on any property displayed, you may contact your Fonville Morisey Sales Associate, call the nearest sales office, or visit our website at www.fmrealty.com.
3. What are the criteria that make a property eligible for display on the Preservation Showcase?The criteria for a property to be eligible for the Preservation Showcase are as follows:
- The property must be for sale and marketed exclusively by Fonville Morisey Realty
- The property must be either or both:
- Urban (matching each of the following criteria):
- Located within the "uptown/downtown" area or what was the original hub of the city and city life
- Located in an area related to the city; having the characteristics of city life; in an area of dense population
- In an area of many characteristics of design and use of space, i.e. shop owner living over shop; condo next to city hall; church next to restaurant as opposed to neighborhood/subdivision
- Characterized as having "Walkability;" with residents able to readily walk 10 minutes or less to school(s), park(s), grocery store(s), businesses, necessities and entertainment
- Historic (matching any of the following criteria):
- The property itself has been certified as "historic" by a reputable third party
- The property or land is located in a national historic district as designated by a reputable third party
- The property or land is located in a local historic district as designated by a reputable third party
- The property is recognized by the community as having historical significance
